Had a very lovely Sunday lunch to celebrate a birthday. The food was good and well presented with large portions. The chicken liver parfait starter was very good. Service was prompt and polite, but we had to keep reminding the servers to bring our drinks. Overall, I would recommend the Magic Mushroom.
This was my third visit to the MM and it never fails to impress. The food is delicious. It really is. There is a wide range to choose from and I highly recommend for any type of celebration or get-together. The atmosphere is just right. 10/10 from me.
Our 2 children took us to the Magic Mushroom for our joint 60th birthday on 25/02. From the moment we entered, the service was spot on, very attentive without being overbearing. Subtle and tasteful decor. The food was exceptional, good size plates of delicious food and tasty drinks, including a good vegan menu. Being Billericay residents for almost 40 years, we can’t quite work out why we’ve never been before, however during Covid we had a ‘takeaway’, for a birthday meal, which was brilliant, so we’re really glad that we’ve finally sampled this gem and we will be returning. Will recommend.

Just had my Mums surprise birthday meal, from start to finish the service was outstanding, the food and drinks are great value for money, as well as renting the private room. The staff are so attentive and helpful. Thank you for making it such a memorable event for my Mum.

Absolutely amazing! We came here for a birthday dinner originally. One year later we decided to do our post wedding sit down 3 course meal here where we hired the back of the restaurant for our post wedding celebrations. Everything was perfect, everyone commented on how good the food was. Excellent service and food, could not have been happier. Special thank you to Danielle and her team. We will be sure to be back very soon or probably on our 1st wedding anniversary. Love Claudia & James x
